Apartment Buzo is a three bedroom property, sleeping six, with a large terrace with substantial views, situated on the hill in the old town of Salobrena famed for its whitewashed buildings, twisting streets and the Arab Moorish castle at its summit, all of which is floodlit at night.

On entering the property there is a good size open plan area consisting of entrance hall, dining room and sitting room. All other rooms lead off this central area. The dining room seats six but the table can be extended to accommodate more. There is also a wooden side unit to compliment the dining area.

The sitting area has two sofas, a coffee table and a set of occasional tables. There is a TV with satellite, DVD and CD unit. The 60 square metre covered, but sunny, terrace/balcony, facing south-east, is accessed from both the sitting area and the kitchen, from here there are stunning views out over Salobrena, El Penon (the rock), the beachfront, Los Moriscos Golf complex and along the coast to Motril and on to Torrenueva. At certain times of the year you can even see snow on the high Alpujarra Mountains. Yes, snow and sea from the same viewpoint!

The terrace itself is protected from the elements at both ends by glazing which makes it useable all year round. In fact, at the kitchen end of the terrace there is another glazed partition with door creating a sheltered outdoor dining area with great mediterranean views. The main terrace also has seating with cushions, a table and sun loungers with cushions. There are also beach chairs available.

There are three bedrooms, two good sized doubles and a twin all with fitted double wardrobes and floor standing fans. The bathroom is tiled throughout and has a shower, a toilet and basin. The kitchen is fully kitted with toaster, kettle, coffee machine, microwave, oven, hob, grill/toastie maker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. There is a door from the kitchen to the sheltered outdoor dining area on the terrace.

The property has access to a communal pool (open 1 June to 30 September) 10mx6m and 1.5m to 3.5m deep and a small communal garden and terrace area to sunbathe between swims.

In Salobrena town centre you will find many banks, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and a variety of boutiques and other shops. There is also a local market on both Tuesday and  Friday mornings. A ten minute walk down to the beach you will find El Penon (the rock) with a variety of restaurants and bars at the west end and a bar/nightclub at the east end with a number of bars and restaurants sited in between on the beach itself.

Ten minutes drive east along the coast, or by bus, is Motril which is a busy commercial town but has a nice pedestrian friendly town centre with a wide variety of shops and boutiques. Sandwiched between Salobrena and Motril is Playa Granada beach front and Los Moriscos (18 hole) golf course. Ten minutes to the west is the town of Almunecar with its busy local market on Fridays, quaint old town Moorish narrow streets and water park on the seafront (summer only).

Moving further a field you may like to take a trip up into the Alpujarra or Sierra Nevada Mountains to admire the breathtaking views, go walking in summer, skiing in winter and sample village life, or fifty minutes by car is the city of Granada with the great Alhambra palace.
