Apartment Generalife is situated in the small seaside town of Torrenueva on the Costa Tropical de Granada which is quite different to the place of the same name on the Costa del Sol.  This Torrenueva is a relatively quiet, unspoilt and small Spanish seaside town on the Costa Tropical close to Motril and the beachside resorts of Salobrena and Almunecar.

Torrenueva has a long stretch of mainly sandy beach (with a few pebbles), a bank, two supermarkets, a watersports shop and several good restaurants and bars within a five minute walk of the apartment.

This recently built seafront apartment has been finished to a very high standard.  The second floor apartment (lift provided), offers spacious modern living accommodation and is newly furnished throughout.  There are three bedrooms (two doubles and a twin), two bathrooms (one en-suite), a well equipped kitchen, a dining/sitting room with an air-conditioning/heating system and a covered sun terrace.  A view of the sea is just possible past surrounding low level properties.

Torrenueva has plenty of opportunities for those who like the outdoor life with sporting and adventure activities to enjoy such as windsurfing, boat and shore fishing and many other water based activities. However, if you prefer a more relaxing sort of holiday you could just stroll up and down the esplanade, lie on the beach or go for a paddle.

On Saturday mornings there is a market along the beachfront and there are regular local and national bus services enabling cheap travel for those who do not wish to hire a car during their visit.

Thanks to its geographical location Torrenueva is close to several significant places of interest in this area such as the cave houses at Guadix and the Sierra Nevada mountains which offer skiing (90 minutes by road) and of course the Alhambra Palace in Granada (50 mins by road).  Other coastal towns in the Costa Tropical region such as Salobrena, Almunecar and Motril each have there own distinctive features, as does the immediate mountain range of the Alpujarras with its unique village communities or simply follow the coast road along to Almeria or Malaga.
