Cortijo Estevez, located above the village of Gualchos in the Sierra de Lujar, is a comfortably furnished and very Spanish retreat. It has great views along the coastline of the Costa Tropical and is set in a very peaceful area, well away from the main traffic routes. For those looking for a tranquil setting then this is an ideal location.
There is a large terrace overlooking the coastline for outdoor dining with adjacent BBQ area under the shade of the fig tree. The swimming pool (7 mtrs x 3 mtrs) has security gates between the house and pool. For children to play in or just to wander around, there are 6000 sq mtrs of adjoining land planted with fruit trees and shrubs - all organically grown.

The house is built in the traditional Andalucian style on one level and is well equipped, comfortably furnished and well maintained. There is a large sitting room with open fireplace, satellite TV, comfortable sofa and chairs and views to the coast. The kitchen is well equipped and with 3 bedrooms (1 double and 2 twins) and 2 bathrooms the house offers spacious accommodation.
The nearest town is Gualchos (approx 6 kms). Here you will find a small supermarket, several bars and some good restaurants, a bakery and ice cream shop. Driving a further 10 minutes brings you to the town of Castell de Ferro and its beaches.

The town of Motril is a 20 minute drive over the hills from Gualchos and here you will find plenty of shops, restaurants, markets and large supermarkets for all shopping needs. A car is essential.
The Sierra Nevada, Spain's highest mountain range, is a magnificent backdrop to this partly undiscovered area of Spain. The area enjoys a microclimate, subtropical in character, a warm and gentle 18 degrees in winter and an average of 25 degrees in summer.

Between Cortijo Estevez and Granada lie the charming Lecrin Valley and Alpujarras villages. Countless pueblos selling traditional crafts and offering mouth-watering hearty fare await your exploration, most within an hour's drive from this villa.
Or spend a day wandering the seaside. Lively Nerja, ever popular with tourists, is half an hour down the coast (those homesick for a Guiness or a curry will find themselves mollified!) Closer by, Almunecar and Salobrena are sizable traditional Mediterranean villages, both well worth a visit.
