If your idea of a holiday villa is somewhere situated in a quiet conservation area, with stunning views, room for up to six people and furnished in high quality antique furniture, then Villa Las Flores is definitely the place for you.

As you enter through the electric gate there is ample parking for four cars. On your left are some swings and playground equipment for the children, on your right is the pool, terrace, garden and the house and straight ahead are stunning views over the Mini Sierras, avocado plantations and down towards the sea at Playa Granada.

The pool (11m x 5m) has lights for night swimming and is accessed by roman steps. The pool is surrounded by a good sized terrace area, including a shower for the pool and is complimented with pots and a planted border on one side and a low wall, from which you can admire the stunning views, on the other. Leading from this terrace, running alongside the house, is a rectangular shaped lawn and on the other side of the terrace is the BBQ area.

You enter the property through a covered porch-way which doubles as a shaded eating area. Stepping through the door is like walking into another world, to a time before IKEA, where furniture, fixtures and fittings were made by craftsmen and not machines. There are luxurious antique wooden beams, tables, chairs and side units along with an open fireplace and a host of pictures and oddments to compliment them. There are two comfy chairs and a sofa seating six and a dining table also seating six, or more if necessary. Although decorated in a period style on the inside the layout and construction of the property is quite modern. For example the kitchen, dining and sitting areas are semi-open plan and there is free to air satellite TV and a DVD player. The kitchen itself is up to date with a dishwasher, microwave and full cooking facilities.

Down the hallway that leads from the kitchen / living area are the three bedrooms, one double and two twins and the bathroom. Each bedroom has its own distinctive style and all are decorated and furnished to a high standard with quality antique furniture. There are further nice antique oddments along the hallway. The bathroom is spacious and has a white bathroom suite consisting of bath, with shower over, sink and toilet.

If you fancy a change of scenery Motril, the largest town in the Costa Tropical region, is only a five minute drive away. Playa Granada beachfront and Los Moriscos golf course ten minutes away, as is the historical old town of Salobrena with its whitewashed buildings and Moorish castle, arguably the prettiest town in the Costa Tropical. The historical city of Granada, with its Alhambra Palace, Cathedral, Miradors, Turkish Baths and Albacyn district, is less than an hour away. Or maybe you fancy a trip up into the Alpujarras and visit some of the mountain villages and sample some of their local produce. Whatever you decide to do you can be rest assured that Villa Las Flores will always be a delight to return to.
