As you enter through the electric gates (with video intercom) and meander up the driveway the sheer extent of the grounds open up before you, with the palm trees swaying in the wind and a host of planters with complimentary blooms. At the top of the drive sits Villa Laura, majestic, with its covered car port (space for 4 cars) main house and large patio / pool area.

As you step up to enter the front door you pass through a covered porch terraced area. Perhaps the perfect place to sit, out of the sun and admire the garden.

Inside the property there is a spacious open plan lounge/sitting room. At one end of the room there are a pair of matching armchairs in front of a wood-burning fireplace. At the other end is the TV, DVD, satellite and hi-fi unit with seating for six on two sofas around a large coffee table. Between the sofas and the armchairs there are four chairs placed around a table, perfect for playing cards or board-games.

There are three bedrooms, one double and two twins, all with fitted wardrobes. The double room also has an en-suite with shower, toilet and basin and is tiled throughout. A second family bathroom down the hall also has a shower, toilet and basin and is tiled throughout.

The spacious kitchen/diner is finished to a high standard and is a chefs delight with plenty of equipment (oven, microwave, hob, fridge/freezer), work surface and storage areas. Just as you enter the kitchen there is a door to your left to the laundry room with washing machine. The dining area has a large rectangular table and seating for 8 to 10 people. There is a third door giving convenient access to the terrace/BBQ/pool area.

Outside the property there are extensive grounds. However just outside the kitchen there is a staircase that leads to a roof terrace which affords both splendid sea and mountain views as well as the terrace, pool and gardens. Indeed the perfect place from which to watch the sunset.

The pool itself is 13m x 6m and has two dolphins in mosaic at the bottom. The surrounding terrace has plenty of room for garden furniture and sun-loungers. Beside the pool is a covered BBQ area with bar and 2 fridges to store those all important cool drinks and ice-lollies. This covered area is large enough to fit a table and chairs if you wish to shelter from the midday sun whilst eating.  Next to the BBQ area is a changing room.

The whole property is finished to a very high standard inside and out and is idea for those who like the outdoor life. Situated in Puntalon it is five minutes drive from Motril and fifteen minutes from Salobrena.

Motril is a busy commercial town but has a nice pedestrian friendly town centre with a wide variety of shops and boutiques.  Salobrena has a local market on both Tuesday and Friday mornings. Down on the beachfront you will find El Peñon (the rock) with a variety of restaurants and bars at the west end and a bar/nightclub at the east end with a number of bars and restaurants sited in between on the beach itself.

Sandwiched between Salobreña and Motril is Playa Granada beach front and Los Moriscos (18 hole) golf course. Ten minutes to the west is the town of Almunecar with its busy local market on Fridays, quaint old town Moorish narrow streets and water park on the seafront (summer only).

Moving further a field you may like to take a trip up into the Alpujarra or Sierra Nevada Mountains to admire the breathtaking views, go walking in summer, skiing in winter and sample village life, or fifty minutes by car is the city of Granada with the great Alhambra palace.
