Villa Vista Mar is spacious and luxurious. If you favour a comfortable holiday home complete with all the modern conveniences you would do well to consider a stay at Villa Vista Mar. Upon crossing the threshold of the main entrance you look through the house and out to the Mediterranean. The furnishings are all high quality such as a handmade wooden dining room table and chairs and leather living room sofas.

The house sits on a hillside with the sea and coast line visible from nearly every room. The terrace is the perfect place to sip a drink and let the warm soft sea breezes erase all the cares of everyday life. Comfortably appointed with wooden pergola for shade and the added touch of an outdoor ceiling fan, this terrace and the views to the Mediterranean are hard to pull yourself away from. There is plenty of space around the pool terrace and with sunloungers and umbrellas makes the perfect area for sunbathing.

The bedrooms (two doubles and one twin room) are all fitted with high quality linens and pillows and have plenty of built-in drawer and cupboard space. All have views to the sea.  There is free to air satellite TV reception, a stereo system, books and board games.  The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need.  There is also a Sports Centre available for the exclusive use of the residents of the villa.

The villa is located in the prestigious "Monte de los Almendros" urbanization just outside the picturesque seaside village of Salobrena on the southern coast of Spain. This area of the southern coast, now officially referred to as the Costa Tropical de Granada, is 45 minutes by car directly south of Granada and 1 hour and 5 minutes east of Malaga. The villa is also located just 5 minutes by car outside Salobrena town center. The neighborhood which has an abundance of places to admire the beautiful views of sea and coast below is ideal for walking.  The small fishing village of La Caleta is a 10 minute walk from the house and has several restaurants and bars, a shop and bakery.

Salobrena is a lovely picturesque Spanish village that is ever growing and becoming more international. With it's 14th century Moorish castle perched atop the large rock which jets up from the surrounding planes Salobrena is a truly Spanish white seaside village. Salobrena has a current population of approximately 12,000 and is transforming itself from it's roots as an agricultural town to one where tourism and real estate are it's primary source of economic activity. The town is divided into two main areas that have now grown together. The old part of town or "Casco Antiguo" is built on and around the large rock that defines the towns topology. The newer beach area is teeming with sun worshippers of all nationalities. Both parts of Salobrena are full of shops, restaurants, tapas bars and cafes. There is a wide range of things to do and sights to see both in town and in the surrounding areas.

Between the coast and the city of Granada, with the Alhambra Palace, are the Alpujarra mountains which are doted with interesting hillside white villages. Also the larger Sierra Nevada mountains just outside Granada with a popular ski resort at the top. It is of course possible to enjoy a late spring day of skiing followed by sun bathing at the beach or round the pool. The climate is truly sub tropical with mild winters, and summer temperatures in the mid to high 80 degrees F. ( 27 degrees C.) all combined with low humidity and soothing sea breezes.
